High Intensity Interval Training or HIIT involves repeated bouts of high- intensity effort followed by varied recovery times. Research shows that alternating periods of high-intensity exercise with low-intensity recovery time increases fitness and burns more calories over a shorter period of time.
Interval training exercises the heart muscle, provides a cardiovascular workout, improves aerobic capacity and permits you to exercise for longer and/or more intense levels. It will promote a healthy physique and will improve your overall health.
Generally, 2-5 minutes of warm-ups followed by interval training with 5 minutes of cooldown. But there’s no single hard-and-fast rule. Different lengths of work and recovery bring different benefits.
This program is for everyone, fit or unfit, young our old, men or women. Whether you're currently an athelte, been an athlete in the past, or are just getting started with fitness, this is for YOU.
